The 5 Best Audiologists in El Paso for Clearer Hearing

audiologists-in-el-paso
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Clinical Expertise: We closely looked at the professional qualifications and regional industry experience of the specialists running each local facility.

It was essential to highlight clinics led by licensed Doctors of Audiology (Au.D.) who truly understand complex auditory issues.

Patient Feedback: We analyzed real experiences from local families to see how comfortable and supported people felt during their appointments.

This helped us spot who consistently provides compassionate care and who might fall short on communication.

Service Range: A great clinic should handle everything from basic diagnostic screenings to highly specialized care like tinnitus management.

We favored practices that offer comprehensive care under one roof, so you don’t have to run around to different spots.

Technology Options: Access to modern hearing aids and advanced verification tools is a huge deal for achieving the best long-term results.

We checked whether clinics provide customized fittings and up-to-date devices rather than basic, one-size-fits-all solutions.

Scheduling Convenience: Finding time for regular appointments can be tough, so clear operating hours and simple booking systems really matter. We prioritized centers that make it easy to get in the door and get your questions answered quickly.

It can feel pretty overwhelming when you or a loved one starts missing out on parts of conversations, but finding the right support makes all the difference.

Your hearing shapes how you connect with the world every single day, so you deserve a specialist who listens to your concerns.

Just like finding reliable home health care or great local chiropractors to look after your physical well-being, tracking down the best audiologist in El Paso is all about finding a team you can trust.

We did the heavy lifting to find the top clinics in town that offer excellent testing, advanced technology, and personalized care.

How much does visiting an audiologist cost in El Paso?

Out-of-pocket costs for a comprehensive initial evaluation in the area generally range from $80 to $175, depending on your specific needs.

Dealing with changes in your hearing requires deep expertise. This practice stands out because it brings more than 65 years of regional experience to the table.

They offer audiologist-led care with experienced doctors who focus heavily on personalized hearing solutions instead of basic treatments.

They’re also highly regarded for their specialized tinnitus evaluations, making them a fantastic choice if you deal with ringing ears.

When a close friend of mine went in for an evaluation, they loved how thoroughly the doctors mapped out their lifestyle needs.

The only real catch is that communication about appointment costs and insurance details can sometimes be a little confusing beforehand.

Also, a few people noted minor delays when ordering specific device configurations, but the overall medical care remains incredibly solid.

Pros

  • Over 65 years of regional experience
  • Led by licensed Doctors of Audiology
  • Comprehensive tinnitus evaluations and care
  • State-of-the-art diagnostic equipment

Cons

  • Clearer upfront insurance communication needed
  • Occasional delays with device order specs

Reprogrammed my hearing aids

I just recently had an appointment. This was after trying a couple other area audiologist who were only interested in selling me new hearing aids! Dr. Lyon checked my hearing and reprogrammed my hearing aids that were purchased in another state along with filling me in on some interesting facts. I glad to have found an audiologist  more interested in the patient. The office staff was also very nice and helpful. I will be going back whenever necessary.

Thank you

I have my hearing back!

Dr. Morales is an amazing audiologist. She took the time to answer all of my questions and throughout the entire appointment she made sure I was comfortable and understood what was going on. Thanks to her and the awesome staff I have my hearing back!

So understanding and sweet

I took my son there this week to check his hearing and I was so nervous but as soon as we got there we were greeted with excellent service. The man at the front desk was so understanding and sweet (we accidentally got the date of the appt wrong). Dr. Lopez was so patient with my son which is something I was nervous about because he kept crying and trying to get off the chair. All in all I would definitely recommend them if you have small children.

Starting your hearing care journey doesn’t have to cost a fortune upfront. That’s why this clinic offers free hearing tests for new patients.

They also take a customer-first approach by providing easy 24/7 online appointment booking and access to advanced hearing technology with in-home trials before you buy.

And because they’re backed by a massive nationwide network, you get incredible continuity of care if you ever travel or relocate.

On the other hand, the corporate size means internal communication processes can feel a bit slow at times.

I remember calling them to ask a few detailed questions about their trial options, and it took a bit longer than expected to get a direct callback from their team.

Some folks have also noted that follow-up responses require an extra nudge, but the complimentary testing and modern facility make it well worth a look.

Pros

  • Complimentary hearing tests for patients
  • Convenient 24/7 online appointment booking
  • In-home device trials available
  • Seamless nationwide network support

Cons

  • Response times for callbacks can vary
  • Corporate structure can slow internal communication

Been a customer for the past 5 years

I have purchased hearing aids after receiving a hearing test.  I have been a customer for the past 5 years.  Gloria is the hearing audiologist I believe is her title.  She is such a professional an expert in her field and always takes her time addressing all my issues and provides useful information.  She adjusts the hearing aids volume and anything that can continue to make my hearing aid experience a positive one.  Highly recommend this place and her!

4. Desert Peak Hearing and Balance Clinic

Website: https://www.desertpeakhearing.com/

Address: 5505 N. Mesa Street

Contact: (915) 234-2454

Hours: Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Families looking for specialized care for all ages will love this locally owned clinic run directly by passionate clinical audiologists.

They possess unique expertise in both hearing and balance disorders, which means they can handle complex vestibular evaluations alongside traditional hearing tests.

I think parents will also appreciate their strong pediatric capabilities, including newborn hearing screenings and live speech mapping technology for precise fittings.

The main thing to keep in mind is that this practice focuses exclusively on audiologic and balance care rather than full ear, nose, and throat (ENT) medical treatments.

If your specific issue requires surgical intervention or medical prescriptions for an ear infection, you’ll need an outside referral to a traditional ENT specialist.

That said, for dedicated non-surgical hearing and balance needs, their targeted expertise is truly hard to beat.

Pros

  • Dual expertise in hearing and balance
  • Excellent pediatric and newborn screenings
  • Locally owned by Doctors of Audiology
  • Utilizes precise live speech mapping

Cons

  • No in-house surgical ENT treatments

Administered the hearing tests after gathering all my information

Quick and efficient front office staff to start it off. Bo, the audiologist, was great. Administered the hearing tests after gathering all my information. Once the test was over, he explained all the results and answered all of my question. He did not try and ‘hard sell’ me on anything. Got in 1 minute after my appointment was scheduled. I was on my way home  ~ 1 hour.

Conducted a thorough hearing evaluation

I was referred to Desert Peak Hearing Clinic by my ENT doctor and was able to easily schedule a next-day appointment for a hearing evaluation.  The office staff was friendly and professional, and my wait time was no more than 15 minutes after completing minor paperwork.  Bo Martinez, audiologist, conducted a thorough hearing evaluation and reviewed the results with me and answered all my questions.  The clinic’s location is easy to find and parking is adequate.  I highly recommend Desert Peak for your hearing needs.

Address: 7500 N Mesa #316

Contact: (915) 996-9793

Hours: Monday through Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Livingston Hearing Aid Center is a family-owned organization that brings more than 70 years of dedicated hearing healthcare experience to El Paso.

They operate a massive independent care network that allows them to offer great perks like lifetime aftercare and same-day minor hearing aid repairs right at their office.

I like how the team here utilizes highly advanced fitting methodologies like real-ear measurements to ensure your devices perform beautifully in real-world environments.

However, some clients have noted that post-purchase support for unexpected device issues can occasionally take some patience to sort out.

A few individuals also felt that technical details regarding smartphone application integration and adjustment controls could be explained more clearly during the initial fitting process.

Even so, their massive network and long history make them a very dependable choice for ongoing maintenance.

Pros

  • Over 70 years of industry experience
  • Convenient same-day minor device repairs
  • Extensive network with lifetime aftercare benefits
  • Advanced real-ear measurement verification tools

Cons

  • Post-purchase support can require patience
  • More detailed app instructions could be provided

I will forever be a lifetime customer

My experience  with Livingston hearing aid at 7500 N Mesa was great. My hearing aid was fixed at no cost. They are very courteous . I recommend that anyone needing hearing aid visit them at this location. I will forever be a lifetime customer.

Wonderful customer service

Such friendly staff and wonderful customer service. I’m in visiting my parents from out of town and I lost the dome of my hearing aid. I came in and they works with me and helped me find a replacement at no charge. My parents will definitely be giving them business in the future. Thanks again!
