The 5 Best Sauna Spots in El Paso for Relaxation and Recovery

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Service Range: We looked at the specific types of heat therapy each facility provides. This helps identify places that support both specialized recovery needs and basic relaxation.

Pricing and Packages: We evaluated the flexibility of single sessions against the long-term value of monthly memberships. Accessible price points matter because consistency is what makes a wellness routine easier to keep.

Location and Accessibility: We considered where each spa or recovery center sits within El Paso. A convenient location makes it much easier to visit regularly without turning relaxation into another errand.

Specialist Approach: We looked at the background and support style of the staff managing the treatments. Trained professionals, clear guidance, and safe protocols make intensive heat or recovery sessions feel more reassuring.

Finding the best sauna in El Paso can make your weekly routine feel a lot easier, especially if you use heat therapy for recovery, stress relief, or a quiet reset.

I looked at local wellness spots that offer sauna access alongside treatments like massage, float therapy, cryotherapy, and chiropractic recovery. Some feel more spa-like, while others lean clinical or athletic.

To make the search less overwhelming, I narrowed this list to places that stand out for atmosphere, service variety, pricing, and overall comfort.

How much does going to a sauna cost in El Paso?

Single drop-in sauna sessions typically range from $25 for a half-hour to $50 for a full hour. Frequent users can find basic gym access starting around $10 monthly and premium recovery memberships exceeding $200 monthly.

Service TypeAverage Price
30-Minute Session$25
1-Hour Session$50
Basic Gym Access$10 to $35 / month
Premium Memberships$200+ / month

1. Float and Calm Spa

Website: https://floatandcalm.com/

Address: 1875 Saul Kleinfeld Dr #108

Contact: (915) 300-7651 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Sunday, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Float and Calm Spa sets a calm tone right away if you want to stack more than one wellness treatment in a single visit. Their setup makes it easy to move from an infrared sauna session into a float pod, which feels like a full reset instead of a quick stop.

I booked the dual float room with a friend and liked that add-ons, such as hot stone therapy, were available without surprise fees. They also offer detailed facial treatments with enzymes and hydration masks, so the spa works for both relaxation and skincare.

However, the main catch is the booking policy. Initial deposits are non-refundable, and short-notice changes can bring extra penalties, so you need to be sure before confirming.

Pros

  • Direct text communication available
  • Convenient intersection placement
  • Clinical-grade skincare ingredients
  • Customized facial approaches

Cons

  • Non-refundable initial deposits
  • Short-notice cancellation fees

Private room, calm music, amazing smell.

The sauna had its own private room and made us feel at home. The best thing tho is that which ever thing your doing, it always had calm music playing and it smells so good! The place is clean and honestly if i could give this place 100 stars, I would do it!

Relaxed and less tense after professional massage.

Me & my husband went for their Valentines special that included an hour massage and a 30 min sauna session. We have never had massages professionally and when I tell you this will now be a part of our monthly self care routine, I mean it. We left so relaxed and I have felt so much less tense and just so happy. I really recommend booking here.

2. Restore Hyper Wellness

Website: https://www.restore.com/

Address: 6801 N Mesa St, Ste. B-6-7

Contact: (915) 478-8162 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Friday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Sunday, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Restore Hyper Wellness is a strong fit if you like having a structured recovery routine instead of booking random sessions whenever you remember.

Their monthly credit system lets members mix options like infrared sauna, cryotherapy, red light therapy, compression, and other core services based on how their body feels that week.

When you sign up for select packages, they also include a complimentary intravenous (IV) drip administered by a registered nurse. I also liked that the cold therapy is supervised, with a trained specialist staying nearby and even playing your preferred music.

If you’re planning a full self-care day before visiting one of the top hair salons in El Paso, this clinic feels modern and easy to combine with other appointments.

The downside is that advanced services can drain credits quickly. You may also get enrolled in promotional texts and have to opt out later.

Pros

  • Zero-cost wellness consultations
  • Nationwide franchise access
  • Thirty percent specialty service discounts
  • Data-driven recovery planning

Cons

  • Imbalanced therapy credit costs
  • Automated promotional text enrollment

Customer Reviews

Quality service and clean, comfortable sessions.

Great experience! Narah was super kind and helpful! I had a compression session for hips, cryotherapy session, red light session and a sauna session. I loved how clean, organized and comfortable everything was. Narah did a fabulous job of consistently checking in on me to make sure I was comfortable, making sure I stayed hydrated and helping with any adjustments. It was a perfect balance of privacy and quality service. I left feeling great and renewed in more ways than one.

Friendly staff and smooth infrared sauna booking.

I had such a great experience using the infrared sauna here! From the moment I walked in, everyone at the front desk was so friendly and welcoming, which makes such a difference in creating a good atmosphere for the place. Booking the sauna was super easy, and I appreciated how smooth the whole process was.

3. The Recovery Room

the-recovery-room

Website: https://recoveryroomamr.com/

Address: 631 N. Resler Dr. Suite 201

Contact: (915) 259-8522 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

The Recovery Room works especially well for people who want flexibility instead of a strict appointment schedule. The facility welcomes walk-ins, which is useful when soreness hits after a workout or a long travel day.

During my last visit after a heavy session, I liked that red light and percussion therapy tools were included with the main service. They also provide robes, slippers, shower access, and online registration forms, so the check-in process feels easy.

The tradeoff is that the walk-in setup can create waits during peak hours because most equipment can’t be reserved ahead of time. You also have to shower before and after every cold plunge entry, which is sensible for hygiene but adds a little extra time.

Pros

  • Complimentary hydration provided
  • Bonus months on prepaid memberships
  • Fully equipped shower rooms
  • Impromptu facility tours available

Cons

  • Limited advanced booking capabilities
  • Mandatory pre-plunge showering rules

Incredible stop for post-hiking recovery.

Stopped by the Recovery Room while we were in El Paso after a week long hiking trip through the national parks. This place was incredible. We did the compression sleeves, sauna, and a cold plunge. Melissa was very helpful setting us up and the staff was fantastic. Definitely worth a drop by.

Felt amazing after full recovery treatment.

A buddy and I were passing through El Paso after a hiking trip in Big Bend. We were feeling pretty beat up so we stopped in to check this place out. It was awesome. We got the works, compression sleeves for our legs, hips, and arms, followed by a cold plunge / infrared sauna contrast. Felt amazing after.

4. Desert Spirit Spa

desert-spirit-spa

Website: https://desertspiritspa.com/

Address: 10 Henry Trost Ct

Contact: (915) 516-6680 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Sunday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Desert Spirit Spa feels like the most hotel-style option on this list, with a quieter atmosphere away from the downtown rush.

The spa offers tiered monthly memberships for recurring massages or facials, and selected treatments give you access to broader hotel amenities.

I also like that they have a private room available for wellness-themed birthdays or small group gatherings.

If you already visit aesthetic clinics in El Paso for skin treatments, pairing that routine with a sauna or salt room session here can turn it into a slower weekend reset.

The limitation is the group policy. Each attendee using the private event room must purchase a spa service. Some premium treatments are also excluded from local discounts.

Pros

  • Active military personnel discounts
  • Midweek deals for residents
  • Validated hotel garage parking
  • Complimentary group event beverages

Cons

  • Mandatory individual purchases for groups
  • Premium treatments excluded from discounts

Fantastic facial and relaxing spa amenities.

Desert Spirit Spa is a lovely small spa packed with amenities. I showed up for my facial early to relax in the dry sauna which was a great way to unwind. The staff was friendly and attentive. I had a fantastic facial with Mark. He was extremely knowledgeable, sweet and kind. My skin was dewy and glowing after. I finished my spa day in the Halotherapy salt room with a cup of tea.

Highly recommend massage with hot rocks add-on.

We decided to get 50-minute massages, but next time I would definitely go for the 80-minute option instead. I also HIGHLY recommend getting the hot rocks add-on, it was absolutely worth it. After the massage, we had champagne in the salt room and then relaxed in the sauna for a while.

5. Aktiv Integrative Chiropractic

aktiv-integrative-chiropractic

Website: https://epaktiv.com/

Address: 5001 N Mesa St Ste D2

Contact: (915) 875-1494

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:15 AM – 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM; Friday, 8:15 AM – 2:00 PM

Aktiv Integrative Chiropractic is the most clinical option here, which can be a good thing if you want heat therapy tied to rehabilitation. Their approach goes beyond a basic sauna by using varied bands of infrared light to target specific physical concerns.

Under the guidance of Doctor (Dr.) Michael C. Ponce, the team looks at multiple body systems instead of focusing only on surface-level symptoms.

Patients can receive manual adjustments, lifestyle guidance, and physical therapy-style support alongside deep-penetrating light therapy.

That makes the clinic appealing for athletes, chronic pain patients, or anyone who wants a recovery plan with more structure.

The financial side is less flexible, though. You have to pay the full balance before treatment, and you remain responsible for out-of-pocket costs if insurance denies a claim.

Pros

  • Highly individualized recovery paths
  • Experience with elite athletic injuries
  • Holistic lifestyle management guidance
  • Advanced rehabilitation tools

Cons

  • Mandatory upfront balance payments
  • Patient liability for denied claims
