Finding someone to look at your skin shouldn’t feel like a massive chore.
If you’re dealing with painful acne flare-ups or scheduling an annual skin cancer screening, choosing the right clinic really matters.
The intense desert sun can be harsh on your skin, which makes a trusted local expert a real necessity for your health.
So, I did the heavy lifting and looked at practices with verified track records, clear communication, and convenient scheduling. Here is my guide to the best dermatologists in El Paso.

1. Epiphany Dermatology

Website: https://www.epiphanydermatology.com/
Address: 310 S Mesa Hills Dr, Ste B
Contact: (915) 351-7546
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
If you have a sudden rash or a changing mole, waiting months for a specialist is a huge headache. Epiphany Dermatology tackles that by offering same-day and next-day urgent appointments for quick peace of mind.
They also put a big focus on skin cancer prevention and on-site treatments like Mohs micrographic surgery, a precise method for removing skin cancer.
The team handles hair and scalp concerns too, so it pairs well with the care you would get at top hair salons in El Paso
Their collaborative network connects doctors from major programs who share clinical best practices to improve patient outcomes.
On top of that, they partner with major insurance networks, including Medicare and Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits. This keeps out-of-pocket costs more predictable for local families.
That said, you might see a different provider at follow-ups, since some specialists rotate between offices. You will also need to call their team to confirm your exact plan coverage, because insurance rules often vary by location.

I feel listened to
I usually never post in any social platforms however, this time I would like to say that Dr. Cynthia Campos makes me feel that I am listened to. I’m not being dismissed like other Dermatologist. I feel more empowered when it comes to my skin care and my hair loss. She has provided me with several treatment medication options and I’m very happy with her empathic care.

Always a great experience
I’ve taken my daughter with Dr. Meraz and it’s always been a great experience! She’s so sweet and clear with every explanation. Also, we wait no more than 10 mins to go in, and visits go by super quick. I recently switched insurances and tried a different dermatologist and never again, had to come back to epiphany. The best hands down

2. Mountain View Dermatology

Website: http://www.mtviewderm.com/
Address: 1723 Weston Brent Ln
Contact: (915) 759-7700
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM; Saturday, 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM (ask for availability)
Getting precise surgical care close to home makes a big difference when you face a serious skin diagnosis. Mountain View Dermatology features Dr. Martin B. Giandoni, the only fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon in the area.
I talked to a neighbor who went here, and she said the team was incredibly thorough during her procedure.
The practice also has deep military roots, since several of its physicians previously led dermatology departments at major facilities like Fort Bliss.
They speak both English and Spanish fluently, which makes communication seamless for regional families across their three offices. You won’t face retail pressure here either, thanks to a strict no-skincare-sales policy at the front desk.
On the downside, their menu focuses on clinical and surgical needs rather than cosmetic spa treatments.
The office also closes for ninety minutes at lunch, so it can be tough to schedule around a rigid workday.

Exceptional and thorough
I had the good fortune of visiting their east side locatio. The ladies up front provided excellent, professional, and prompt service. Dr. Maddox was nothing short of exceptional, knowledgeable, and thorough with explanations and feedback. #Superbbedsidemanner. I’m glad I found a new dermatologist office for my family’s needs.

The staff went above and beyond
Wonderful staff. The insurance lady helped me all the way with my insurance problems. She did not stop until the problem was resolved. Lorraine, the laser tech always has a smile on her face and is very professional. This is the only place where they decided to do a biopsy to find out what was really my skin problem. I really recommend them.

5. Cheryl Kosarek M.D.

Website: https://www.westlakedermatology.com/
Address: 1760 Round Rock Ave, Round Rock
Contact: (512) 583-3376
Hours: Hours may vary
Finding a doctor who treats you with genuine kindness can completely change your medical experience. Cheryl Kosarek M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist who spent most of her thirty-year career serving patients in the region.
She bridges the gap between complex medical exams and modern cosmetic skin rejuvenation treatments with ease. This makes her a great medical complement to the upkeep you get at local beauty salons in El Paso.
Her professional background includes work as an assistant professor, which adds serious academic weight to her clinical skills.
Patients also praise her warm bedside manner and her commitment to detailed patient education. She takes plenty of time to explain what she observes and maps out clear action plans for your skin.
However, she currently splits her in-office time between Round Rock and Austin, so her availability follows a tight rotating schedule. Visiting her Austin facility also means navigating a busy shopping plaza and parking garage, which can be a real hassle.
