We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Safety and Insurance Coverage: We evaluated the liability protection and safety protocols of each business. Proper insurance ensures property owners are safeguarded during high-risk tree removals.

Professional Certifications: We prioritized companies employing certified arborists and licensed technicians. Verifiable credentials indicate a commitment to science-based tree health and industry standards.

Availability and Response Time: We looked at operating hours and the capacity to handle storm-related emergencies. Providers offering round-the-clock or same-day services scored higher for convenience.

Local Experience: We considered the longevity and track record of each provider in the region. Understanding the unique soil and climate of West Texas is critical for successful arboriculture.

Customer Service and Cleanliness: We reviewed guarantees related to post-service site cleanup and overall communication. Leaving a yard free of debris is a major indicator of professional respect.

Maintaining your landscape in a desert climate requires specialized knowledge. This makes the search for the best tree service in El Paso an important step for homeowners and property managers alike.

The extreme West Texas weather, from sudden windstorms to intense heat, can place serious strain on local trees and greenery.

A reliable professional helps keep your property safe, healthy, and visually appealing year-round, whether that means emergency limb removal after a storm or routine palm pruning.

To narrow the options, we evaluated top-rated local providers based on experience, safety practices, and service range. This guide highlights skilled teams in El Paso that can match different outdoor maintenance needs with confidence and care.

Finding a contractor who genuinely respects your property can feel like a gamble, but choosing a highly insured crew brings immediate peace of mind.

R&M Tree Service stands out with a robust $2 million insurance policy and a clear commitment to thorough cleaning.

Their team also operates as a comprehensive property maintenance hub, handling everything from landscaping services to junk removal.

When we chatted with their crew during a recent neighborhood branch-clearing project, their dedication to safety was clearly apparent.

We also appreciate that they offer a generous 10% discount for military personnel and first responders.

That said, their status as a general contractor means they lack the hyper-specialized arboricultural focus required to treat delicate or diseased trees.

Additionally, their service footprint is strictly limited to the immediate local area.

Pros

  • $2 million liability insurance
  • 10% discount for military and responders
  • Spotless cleanup guarantee
  • Same-day or next-day scheduling
  • Comprehensive property maintenance

Cons

  • Localized service area only
  • Lacks specialized disease diagnostics

They did a beautiful job trimming our tree and bushes. They arrived on time, offered the best price after we compared several companies, and were very polite and professional. We were extremely satisfied with their work and will definitely continue using their services in the future. Highly recommend!

I recently moved into my home and there were five dead trees in the front yard.  The largest tree had branches breaking off and the trunk was beginning to split.  I contacted them on Monday and by today (Thursday) all trees have been removed and the yard looks better already!! I can’t thank you enough and I’m so happy with the results! I found out they do landscaping too so I will be reaching out for a quote soon.

El Paso Arborists stood out to us for employing International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborists, specifically Jacob and Daniel Salgado, who bring verified expertise to every project.

Their fully insured team uses professional bucket trucks and advanced rigging to carry out high-risk removals safely and with precision.

They also provide targeted, species-specific care, ensuring trees like palms are pruned for long-term health rather than simply cut back.

Because they focus on full lifecycle solutions, their services extend to complex tree transplanting and even supplying locally sourced hardwood firewood.

On the downside, their deep diagnostic consultations require a paid fee, unlike their standard free estimates.

As a smaller, specialized business, their schedule can book up fast during peak pruning seasons. This results in slightly longer wait times for non-emergency appointments.

Pros

  • ISA Certified Arborists on staff
  • Professional bucket trucks and rigging
  • Species-specific palm pruning
  • Standard service estimates are free
  • Locally sourced firewood available

Cons

  • Consultation fees for diagnostics
  • Longer wait times during peak seasons

These guys are magnificent.  They did such a good job.  They are experts and very professional.  They were worth every penny.  Very reasonable.  Easy to contact, open communication, on time, very careful with the neighbors property.  And complete clean up afterwards.  I highly recommend there services.  Thanks guys.  You Rock!

EP Arborists were contacted to remove 2 trees to a stump and remove 1 tree and grind the stump. Made the appointment with the owner Jacob. Him and his guys were right on time and got to work. The job they did was efficient and clean. I was worried about things around the trees being damage but they protected sprinklers, small walls, and the grass. They cleaned everything on the way out. In essence they were great!  Could not have ask for anything more.

Address: 9908 Cork Dr, El Paso, TX 79925

Contact: (915) 598-8399 | (915) 329-5455

Hours: Mon – Sat 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Daniel’s Tree & Landscaping, Inc. is a long-established tree care and landscaping company operating since 1987, with a strong focus on safety-driven arborist work.

We feel reassured knowing that they’re a fully licensed and bonded provider and a member of the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA). They also emphasize strict safety standards, especially for complex removals like multi-story tree takedowns.

In addition to tree services, they also handle more technical landscaping needs, including irrigation work carried out by Texas Licensed Irrigators. They handle tasks like root barrier installation and irrigation compliance

A neighbor of mine used them for an old pecan tree removal, and we witnessed their highly technical rigging process firsthand.

During the colder months, they add extra value by delivering and professionally stacking seasoned firewood at no additional charge.

That said, they’re closed on Sundays, which limits emergency availability. Their services are also more tailored to residential properties rather than large-scale commercial land-clearing projects.

Pros

  • Over 35 years of local experience
  • Fully licensed, bonded, and insured
  • Employs Texas Licensed Irrigators
  • Free firewood delivery and stacking
  • Longstanding TCIA membership

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays
  • Heavily residential focus

Daniel and his crew did a wonderful job cutting down our 30-yr old pine tree and grinding the base. We had him remove 5 other tree stumps and trim some hedges. Both he and his crew are professional & hardworking, they cleaned up the debris & made it look like nothing ever happened! Grateful that he took the time to explain the process, what to expect, how long it would take, and reasonably priced. Thank you!

Daniel and his team did amazing with two big jobs. One was pruning a huge mesquite tree that was very much overgrown. The other was removing a 62 year old mulberry tree. They took great care to ensure that the huge tree limbs didn’t damage any surrounding items or structures. His team is professional, timely, thorough, and made sure to pick up all debris at the end of each day. I highly recommend Daniel’s Tree and Landscaping for all your tree pruning and removal needs.

4. Complete Lawn Care

Website: https://www.saenzco.com/contact

Address: Cynthia Lane 104, El Paso, TX, 79922

Contact: 915-494-4351 | [email protected]

Hours: Available 24/7

Complete Lawn Care is built around fast-response cleanup work, especially after sudden storm damage. They use professional-grade equipment like a 20-foot removal truck and a Vamet chipper to handle large volumes of debris efficiently.

As a family-owned company operating since 1997, they also bring long-standing experience with local desert soil conditions.

Beyond storm cleanup, their heavy equipment makes them well-suited for larger property projects. This includes hardscape work, such as full yard overhauls.

But what we really love most about them is their availability. They operate 24/7 and offer same-day response for urgent clearing needs, which is particularly useful after severe weather events.

That said, their service area is limited to Sunland Park and nearby city limits, which restricts access for clients outside that zone.

Pros

  • 24/7 emergency availability
  • Same-day response guarantee
  • Specialized 20-foot removal truck
  • High-speed Vamet wood chipper
  • Decades of regional experience

Cons

  • Strict geographic service limits
  • Occasional crew arrival delays

Recently moved into a house with a long-ignored yard. There were thousands of stickers, tons of weeds, and a palo verde tree that had not been trimmed in ages. The yard was not useable. Complete Lawn Care came, cleared out everything and gave us a good blank canvas to work with. They were very quick with their responses, professional, punctual, and did what they said they were going to do, all while offering great customer service and a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Complete Lawn Care! They did an amazing job removing a fallen tree from my property and made the whole process super easy. They took care of everything quickly and efficiently. Plus, their communication was top-notch, coordination with Ruben and his team was easy . Highly recommend them if you need any lawn care or tree removal done!

5. Desert Mountain Tree Service LLC

Website: https://desertmountaintrees.com/

Address: 4720 Doniphan Dr., El Paso TX, 79922

Contact: (915) 257-1293 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday to Sunday, 7 AM–8 PM

Sun City Tree Service stands out for its hands-on, educational approach to tree care. We appreciate that they take the time to explain work to clients rather than simply completing the job and leaving.

The team is bilingual and focuses on clear communication throughout each project. This helps build trust during complex or high-risk tree removals near structures.

They employ licensed and bonded arborists and operate seven days a week with a flexible 12-hour daily schedule. This makes them accessible for both residential and commercial clients.

Cleanup is also handled as part of the service, including full removal of sawdust and debris after work is completed.

Unfortunately, their operational capacity relies on a very small, two-person crew. This limits their ability to manage large-scale commercial land clearing or simultaneous storm-surge calls.

In addition, their geographic reach does not extend to the broader outlying counties of Southern New Mexico.

Pros

  • Seven-day operational availability
  • Licensed and bonded arborists
  • Focus on client education
  • Bilingual service options
  • BBB Accredited business

Cons

  • Small crew limits scalability
  • Restricted geographic coverage

I was genuinely impressed by how swift and smooth everything went with Desert Mountain Tree Service LLC; it made me feel relieved knowing my trees were in such capable hands. The team’s friendly approach and the way they handled everything so efficiently truly brightened my day and eased my worries.

Tree service

Desert Mtn Tree Service is the BEST!  Their prices are reasonable and their work efficient and professional. They have all the equipment and manpower to do ANY job. Rudy was very accommodating and flexible with all our requests. Their clean-up afterwards was the best. Would not hesitate to recommend them and will definitely use them again.
