The 5 Best Photography Studios in El Paso for Your Shoot

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Lighting and Equipment Access: A great studio lives and dies by its lighting capabilities and available gear. We prioritized spaces that offer either pristine natural light or high-quality strobes for consistent results.

Set Versatility and Amenities: We looked closely at whether a space could accommodate multiple types of shoots seamlessly. Studios equipped with dressing rooms and diverse backdrops scored significantly higher on my list.

Client Experience and Comfort: Standing in front of a camera is nerve-wracking, so the studio environment needs to be welcoming. We favored spaces where photographers actively coach their subjects and create a stress-free atmosphere.

Value and Transparency: Hidden fees are frustrating when you are trying to stick to a production budget. We focused on venues that clearly outline their hourly rates and minimum booking times.

Finding the right space to capture professional images can feel overwhelming, whether you are planning a corporate headshot or a creative family portrait. Getting the lighting, space, and setup right can make a big difference in the final result.

While photo booth rentals work well for casual event snapshots, professional studios offer far more control, better lighting, and consistent quality for brand-focused photography.

From high-end commercial studios to relaxed lifestyle setups, the right environment should elevate your shoot and make the process feel smooth and natural.

If you are looking for the best photography studios in El Paso, this guide is for you! We’ve highlighted creative spaces suited for photographers, businesses, and anyone wanting high-quality results.

Address: 3900 Rosa Ave. Suite A, El Paso, TX 79905

Contact: +1 (915) 487-8250 | [email protected]

Hours: By Appointment Only

We really love Tina Dwyer Photography’s emphasis on expression coaching. It shows that they’re actively working with clients to bring out natural confidence rather than relying on stiff, posed shots.

We also like that they treat photography as part of broader personal or brand identity work.

Having a controlled studio environment with tailored lighting and guided direction makes the experience feel more intentional, especially for professionals or career coaches who need portraits that look polished but still authentic.

Having personally booked a session here last year, I can vouch for how relaxed the atmosphere is. Tina, the lead photographer and founder, patiently coaches you through minor adjustments until you actually look forward to the next click.

That said, this level of customization doesn’t come cheaply. Their pricing sits at a premium compared to basic studios, so it’s more of an investment than a quick headshot option.

Pros

  • Consistent, high-end lighting
  • Extensive wardrobe guidance
  • Professional-grade retouching
  • Relaxed, comfort-first vibe

Cons

  • Premium financial investment
  • Not suited for retail budget shoots

Her studio had a welcoming and well lighted atmosphere.

Tina Dwyer did a great job photographing the Attorney & staff of Juan A. Gonzalez, Attorney At Law!  She took her time guiding us as we posed for the photos. Prior to sitting for the photos, she inquired as to what color background we wanted & had everything ready including herself, upon our arrival at the studio. Her studio had a welcoming, relaxed, pleasant, and well lighted atmosphere. She had the proofs ready the following day & the final prints including edits within a couple days! We are very happy with her work & highly recommend her!

The studio was so refreshing, and has multiple setups.

Stepping into Tina studio was so refreshing, she has multiple setups for different picture ideas. Tina is so great at guiding you so that you look your best in the photos while still giving you freedom to be yourself and unleash your own personality.

2. Houdini Portraits LLC

Address: 4826 Montana Ave. El Paso, TX 79925

Contact: (915) 242-7484

Hours: By Appointment Only

Houdini Portraits LLC has a really efficient setup if you need both photography and video done in one place.

The biggest advantage is their integrated 3,000-square-foot studio space. This already removes the usual hassle of booking separate locations for different types of shoots.

We also like that they offer same-day editing, especially if you’re on a tight deadline and need content turned around quickly.

Having a space that can handle everything from corporate headshots to full 4K video projects makes it feel pretty versatile without overcomplicating the process.

Their transparent tiered pricing and weekend availability are also practical touches, especially if you’re trying to fit shoots around a busy schedule.

The main downside, though, is that the sessions can feel a bit strict on timing. The packages run on a tight clock, which might feel rushed if you need more time to warm up or get comfortable in front of the camera.

Pros

  • Modern multi-camera equipment
  • Inclusive scale for large groups
  • Transparent tiered packages
  • Flexible seven-day availability

Cons

  • Rigid timelines on mini packages
  • Can feel rushed for beginners

A very professional environment.

For my 30th Birthday, Darnell (Sorry if I misspelled your name!) brought my vision to life! Aside from his studio being welcoming and a very professional environment, he was also very welcoming and helped me to figure out different poses and different ideas! His turn around times along with having to edit photos is unmatched!

The whole package prices are reasonable.

We booked grad pics session for our daughter and the pictures were amazing! We had family pics taken as well in her grad gown. It was so easy and comfortable to work with Mr Darnell Smith and his studio is big! He was very accommodating and very professional. The whole package prices are reasonable as well! You guys better book him fast! We are so grateful to have found him. We will certainly avail of his services again! So worth it!

3. Jordan Licon Photography

Website: http://www.jordanliconphotography.com/

Address: 2201 East Mills Ave. 2nd floor, El Paso, TX 79901

Contact: (915) 226-6037 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday – Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Jordan Licon Photography is a very strong fit if you’re going for that magazine-style, editorial look. They lean into cinematic lighting and a more fashion-forward aesthetic rather than standard portrait setups.

We also like that the studio is based in the historic El Paso Railyard. It adds a bit of character to the whole experience, especially if you’re doing brand or commercial work.

From what we’ve seen, the editing work is also very detailed, particularly in how they preserve skin texture while still polishing the final image.

One of our researchers actually went along with a friend who booked Jordan for a brand campaign. She said the whole process felt very intentional and precise from shoot to final delivery.

The main limitation, though, is scope. Because their style is so commercially and fashion-focused, it doesn’t really translate well to more casual or family-oriented sessions like newborn or lifestyle shoots.

Pros

  • High-profile industry credibility
  • Detailed client prep guides
  • Meticulous color grading
  • Optimized for commercial scaling

Cons

  • Limited residential specialization
  • Unsuited for traditional family shoots

It was a true joy to be in his wonderful studio.

Jordan Licon is a consummate and engaging photographer who catches the essence of each of his subjects brilliantly.  It was a true to joy be in his wonderful studio and working with such a real artist.  I can’t recommend him and the experience more highly!  From explaining “how it works” to the display of the final product, I felt truly taken care of and in the presence of a true professional.

Professional and creates an amazing studio atmosphere.

Hands down one of the best photographers out there! Not only is Jordan incredibly talented, but he’s also extremely professional and creates an amazing studio atmosphere filled with positive energy. He’s a great communicator who always makes sure you get exactly what you’re looking for. I’ve trusted him with my headshots for years, and every time the results exceed my expectations. If you’re looking for quality, professionalism, and creativity, Jordan is the one! Thank you for always delivering beyond what I imagined!

4. Stage Photo Art

Website: http://www.stagephotoart.com/

Address: 10870 Pellicano Dr. #2, El Paso, TX 79935

Contact: (915) 240-4074 | [email protected]

Hours: Tuesday – Friday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Stage Photo Art feels like a really fun, creativity-driven studio, especially if you’re working with kids. Their immersive fantasy or seasonal setups are designed to keep children engaged while still producing polished, story-like portraits.

We also like that they provide an on-site client closet. From a practical standpoint, that takes a lot of pressure off parents since you don’t have to source costumes or props yourself.

It also helps keep everything consistent with the studio’s visual style.

The whole experience sounds a bit like stepping into a curated photo playground, which we think works especially well for capturing natural expressions from energetic toddlers.

The main downside, though, is how specific their style is. Because they lean so heavily into theatrical, highly styled sets, they’re not really suited for more minimal corporate headshots or simple lifestyle photography.

Pros

  • Highly child-centric expertise
  • Versatile textured backdrops
  • On-site professional makeup area
  • Customizable fantasy sessions

Cons

  • Poor fit for minimalist corporate shots

It was the best experience.

Booked a studio session for my son’s graduation at Stage Photo Art and it was the best experience. Very professional, amazing customer service, and the quality of the photos is top notch! Victor and Azeneth have been amazing! No delays, no concerns or issues. I could not have asked for a better experience for this milestone. Highly recommend!

Made us feel very comfortable throughout.

we had an amazing experience with our maternity pictures! Victor took beautiful pictures and made us feel very comfortable throughout the whole session with the help of Azeneth, which helped us decide on the perfect package for our pictures:)

5. BL Photography

Website: https://www.blphotographyep.com/

Address: 9611 Acer Ave. Suite 120 Building B, El Paso, TX 79925

Contact: (915) 246-6151 | [email protected]

Hours: Tuesday & Thursday – Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

BL Photography offers a very full-service, experience-driven studio. It’s especially great if you don’t want to deal with the stress of planning a wardrobe or styling before a shoot.

The fact that they integrate styling directly into the session and provide a high-end client wardrobe really takes a lot of decision fatigue out of the process.

We also like that they specialize in milestone moments like boudoir sessions and newborn shoots. Having a dedicated boudoir suite for privacy and comfort makes the whole experience feel more contained and intentional.

The overall vibe is very guided and empowerment-focused, where you basically show up, and they handle most of the details for you.

The main downside, though, is their booking policy. The non-refundable fee does make things feel more rigid, especially if your schedule is unpredictable or you tend to reschedule often.

Pros

  • Dedicated private boudoir suite
  • Safe, sanitized newborn environment
  • Comprehensive luxury packages
  • Strong focus on body positivity

Cons

  • Mandatory non-refundable retainer
  • Strict booking fee policies

Her studio is so cute and has so many different options.

Just did a newborn shoot with Ms Jessica and all I can say is WOW!! Thank you so much Jessica for the beautiful pictures you took of my baby girl! Her studio is so cute and so many different options for swaddles, outfits, backgrounds and props! Thank you for your patience’s and I got to pick exactly which photos I wanted after the shoot which is a huge plus for me!!

Incredibly professional and accommodating.

We had such a beautiful experience with BL Photography for our newborn photo shoot. From start to finish, they were incredibly professional and accommodating, making sure to capture all the special moments with our little one. Her attention to detail and creativity truly made the photos special. We are absolutely thrilled with the final images and cannot recommend Jessica highly enough. Thank you for giving us memories that will last a lifetime.
