Finding the Best Dietitians in El Paso to Reach Your Health Goals

best-dietitian-el-paso
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

  • Credentials and Certifications: We checked the official qualifications and medical certifications of every practitioner on this list. It is crucial that these professionals hold recognized clinical credentials to provide safe advice.

  • Realistic Philosophies: We looked for professionals who reject toxic diet culture and offer realistic guidance. A great provider should make you feel encouraged rather than restricted or judged.

  • Targeted Specializations: We evaluated whether the practices offer targeted support for various needs, such as sports nutrition or chronic illnesses. Having distinct specialties ensures that patients with specific health conditions get appropriate care.

  • Accessibility and Insurance: We considered appointment scheduling and whether the offices accept insurance. Making care easy to book and affordable ensures that local clients can stick to their health goals long term.

Sorting through food advice online can feel completely overwhelming, especially when you are trying to manage a medical condition or improve athletic performance. It’s not always easy to know which guidance is reliable or right for your body.

That is why working with the best dietitians in El Paso can make such a meaningful difference. A qualified local expert can turn conflicting advice into a clear, practical plan tailored to your lifestyle and goals.

Whether you’re focusing on long-term wellness or performance, the right support helps you build sustainable habits instead of guessing your way through nutrition.

To make things easier, we looked into top providers in the area to help you find a dietitian who meets you where you are on your health journey

1. Desert View Dietitians

Website: http://www.desertviewdietitians.com/

Address: 5625 Woodrow Bean Transmountain Ste 115, El Paso, TX 79924

Contact: 915-243-2370 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday, Wednesday to Friday, 8 AM–5 PM; Saturday, 8 AM–2 PM

Navigating nutritional goals while honoring local food traditions can be tricky, but Desert View Dietitians tailors their coaching specifically to our borderland community. They celebrate local flavors rather than forcing strict restrictions.

They provide a realistic philosophy paired with an award-winning diabetes specialization, which gives them a huge advantage in managing blood sugar effectively.

We also love that they offer a hybrid format blending face-to-face sessions with telehealth across Texas and New Mexico.

On top of that, they even provide interactive grocery store tours to guide you through actual local food aisles for practical advice.

But because they only have two registered dietitians on staff handling everything from private sessions to these grocery tours, you might face some scheduling bottlenecks when trying to secure an appointment.

Also, they don’t have a highly visible standalone office, which might feel a little confusing if you prefer a traditional clinic setup.

Pros

  • Direct clinical experience at Del Sol Medical Center
  • Bilingual counseling in English and Spanish
  • Interactive in-person grocery store nutrition tours
  • Award-winning regional leadership in diabetes care

Cons

  • Potential scheduling tight limits due to a small staff
  • No standalone storefront location

10/10 would recommend, my first time going to a dietitian and I’m so glad I came here. Ruth has helped me lose weight and live a healthy lifestyle like I’ve been wanting. She definitely cares about my wellbeing and helps me stay dedicated to my health. Appreciate everything you done so far.

This was my first time visit with Ruth. I really felt comfortable talking to her about ny weight and eating habits. I learned alot of good and useful information. One of my worries going to a dietician was having to make diffent meals. I liked having someone understand my lifestyle. I’m very happy i feel im in the right place.

Founded by Sarah Ruiz, who holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and trained at Le Cordon Bleu, the team ensures flavor and medical advice happily coexist.

They follow an anti-diet culture philosophy that focuses on intuitive eating and grants clients access to over 6,000 customizable recipes.

One of our colleagues actually used their American Diabetes Association (ADA) certified program. She worked directly with their Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (CDCES), who helped her manage her health seamlessly.

Another great thing is they accept major commercial plans and Medicare to keep care affordable.

However, their physical office operates on a restricted half-day schedule on Fridays and stays closed on weekends. So, you will have to navigate their strict appointment-only policy since they do not allow walk-ins.

Pros

Sun City Dietitians are highly recommended if you living with Chronic Kidney Disease. Medicare is accepted. No out of pocket expenses for my consultation. MS Ana was very knowledgable, personable and professional. Sun City Dietitians has access to your current physical, lab and blood work. MS Ana was able to chart out a course of action for my meal preparations, strategies for reading the labels closely and choosing foods that have nutritional value and keeping my kidneys safe. I will have a follow up appointment after my next lab and blood work. Sun City Dietitians are FIVE STARS.

Eating healthier has never been easier! Sarah truly cares about her clients, and the EatLove app is exactly what I needed to get me on track. By working with Sarah, I know what to eat and get recipes and even a shopping list with the app. While I need to lose weight, my main goal is to get healthy. I needed to eat more fruits and vegetables and it is so easy now. The recipes are delicious, and I am eating foods I thought I didn’t like. I highly recommend Sun City Dietitians!

Contact: (915) 444-5110 | [email protected]

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM–5 PM

For those searching for a holistic, root-cause approach to metabolic challenges, KM Wellness Center combines nutrition counseling with fitness training.

Led by Daniel Chavez, a Registered and Licensed Dietitian (RD/LD), the clinic focuses on building sustainable habits rather than unrealistic food restrictions.

They operate as an all-in-one center providing formal Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) alongside advanced diagnostic tools like Dual-Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry (DXA) body composition scans.

They also provide fantastic built-in accountability through in-house meal prep services and exercise classes.

But you should keep in mind that the head dietitian balances this private practice with a separate clinical role, meaning his direct calendar availability can be somewhat tight.

On top of that, they’re completely closed on Sundays, which might limit your scheduling options.

Pros

  • Led by a highly credentialed dietitian featured in national outlets
  • Provides formal clinical Medical Nutrition Therapy
  • Employs advanced DXA body composition diagnostic data
  • Features in-house meal prep and exercise classes

Cons

  • Split schedule limits head dietitian availability
  • Completely closed on Sundays

I really like and enjoy going to KM wellness. The whole staff is very polite, welcoming, and work very well with your schedule. They make you feel at home and very easy to feel comfortable. Any questions I have are answered in a very timely manner. I go with Daniel for dietician counseling and do strength training with both Brenda and Aaron and I have nothing but good and positive things to say about them. Karen is very patient with me when I try to schedule my trainings as my schedule during the week can be a little hectic.

I absolutely love this place!! The KM wellness team have not only helped me with my weight loss and physical strength training goals but also my mental health! Karen is always there to help me with any questions I have, Daniels guidance on nutrition has helped me so much prioritize my health, and I absolutely love my trainers Brenda and Aaron for welcoming me and taking there time with me and because of that I have seen so much progress in my training! They are the best in the field!!

Address: 465 N Resler Dr C2, El Paso, TX 79912

Contact: +19155494235 | [email protected]

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM

If you prefer managing your wellness journey right from home, BeWell365 is a virtual platform that offers amazing digital flexibility. It operates under the guidance of Kristin Finley, an expert with over three decades of experience.

She advocates for reality nutrition by providing straightforward lifestyle changes and useful tools that avoid extreme deprivation.

Also, the website design is exceptionally straightforward and accessible for older adults who might feel overwhelmed by modern apps.

I actually tried their low-cost subscription service, which provides fresh monthly topics for just five dollars and serves as a highly affordable entry point.

However, because their business model is entirely virtual, anyone wanting to sit down with a traditional nutritionist in a physical office setting will find this setup restrictive.

Plus, booking a private, one-on-one initial clinical evaluation carries a high upfront cost of $350.

Pros

  • Run by a local provider with 30 years of clinical experience
  • Provides true clinical assessments completely online
  • Easy-to-use platform optimized for older adults
  • Low-cost entry tiers starting at five dollars monthly

Cons

  • No options for face-to-face clinic appointments
  • High upfront out-of-pocket cost for private evaluations

Customer Reviews

BeWell365 is an excellent nutrition website with reliable, easy-to-understand information that truly helps people make healthier choices. The content is informative, well organized, and practical for everyday life. You can tell a lot of care and passion goes into this platform. Highly recommended for anyone looking to improve their health and wellness journey.

Eddie.

Short, very relatable, concise video with lots of information, helpful tips, ideas and excellent resources for folks with dementia and caregivers. A clearly laid out and overall review with facts of the disease in simple terms with good examples in order to help us to understand this unfortunate, complex and very disruptive disease.

Bringing a fascinating global perspective to the local health scene, A Traveling Dietitian structures its nutrition programs like travel journeys to focus on long-term behavior changes.

Founder Jackie Munoz combines her extensive clinical experience in hospital trauma units with a Master’s degree in sports nutrition and exercise science.

She provides constant accountability by wrapping unlimited direct messaging and daily food tracking reviews right into her virtual consultations.

On top of that, she accepts many major insurance plans to make elite coaching highly accessible.

But you should note that her local presence is purely tailored as a virtual telehealth model, and her hands-on grocery store tours completely exclude our area.

Pros

  • Fully licensed and registered to practice across Texas
  • Strong background in elite sports and high-risk clinical settings
  • Accepts multiple major insurance plans to lower costs
  • Continuous digital support with unlimited daily messaging

Cons

  • Entirely digital structure with no local face-to-face evaluations
