We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Facilities -  Do they keep their equipment clean and well-organized? Are they good at adapting to the event they’re currently serving at?

Catering

> Quality - Is the quality of the food offered good? Are they able to present their menu in a clean, delectable fashion?

> Variety - Do they offer a good variety of dishes to choose from? Do they have options for younger or pickier eaters?

Customer Service - Are they able to keep to their schedule well? Is the team responsive to client inquiries?

Accessibility - Is it easy to visit or contact them for catering? Are they available for booking throughout the year?

Be honest with me, what’s one of the biggest reasons you go to events? The performances or presentations, sure. Merchandise? Maybe. But if you’re like me, you know what I’m about to say next: for the food.

Cut me some slack! I’m the type who can’t help but want to bond with folks over food. Whether I’m sharing a cheeky lunch with friends or having a pizza night with coworkers, there’s no denying the ease of bonding when you have something to chew on.

But when you’ve got a big group, getting restaurant reservations can be tricky. Luckily, you can always count on catering here in El Paso to help you bring the delight of various cuisines right to your event!

You know how the saying goes: not all heroes wear capes. They might not be superheroes, but locals around El Paso have happily put Super Chef Catering & Cuisine on our radar for good catering at reasonable prices.

The first thing that stood out to us was the range of catering services they offered. They offer everything, from the classic buffet-style catering to more formal setups with sit-down service and table service.

When it came to the food, we also discovered their flexibility for substitutions. Customers we got to chat with praised the team’s ready options to accommodate various diets, such as alternative proteins for vegetarians.

To our surprise, their plating was also quite the highlight. The team was reportedly quite proactive in creating sample plating to give the event an extra flourish. We find this pretty handy for corporate events or especially weddings

We also love how transparent Super Chef is with their rates. They give a clear price breakdown to help clients get a budget sorted before the day of.

That said, they may not be the best choice for short events. The minimum commitment time for their private services was quite long, according to some we spoke to, ranging from 4 hours to more.

Pros

  • Reliable meal substitutions
  • Transparent price quotes
  • Clean and attractive plating

Cons

  • Long minimum hour commitment for private services

Excellent food and exceptional catering service

“Excellent food and exceptional catering service! I had a bridal shower for my son and his fiance and guests were very satisfied with the dinner. They were asking for their business cards left and right.”

– Ms. Sandie Colon, Google Review

Showed us how they would set up the plates for each guest

“My husband and I hired them for our wedding and we really recommend them! They brought us in for samples, showed us how they would set up the plates for each guest and went through the break down of the pricing!”

If you’ve ever attended any event around El Paso and New Mexico, there’s a chance you might have already run into East End Catering. This joint was quite the favorite for folks running events near school districts, so we were intrigued enough to check it out!

East End offers catering services for everything from classic weddings and quinceañearas to school events, which was quite a rarity.

Their menu choices also reflected this range. We were almost blown away by the various options they had for menus, from classic breakfast and lunch menus to more specialized ones focusing on boxed sandwiches and more student-friendly fare.

If none of their premade menus aren’t quite your style though, the team is very flexible with customer requests. Many customers we spoke with mentioned having no trouble arranging a custom, personalized menu for their event.

Customers also mentioned the timeliness of the services. East End Catering was reportedly pretty quick with getting their events booked and scheduled, saving on the hassle of waiting on the team to confirm what dates they were available at.

We do advise you to visit the team or reach out to them via their email and online support when placing an order. Some reportedly faced long response times when trying to contact them through the phone.

Pros

  • Wide variety of menu choices
  • Very accommodating of customer requests
  • Quick scheduling

Cons

  • Long response times through phone

We really recommend them for any catering

“Food was super delicious! Some places locally won’t give you a tasting before ordering but this place provided several options for us. They were super professional, on time and we really recommend them for any catering!”

– Ms. Alexandra Perez, Google Review

Able to advise and assist us with a few things we didn’t know

“The food was perfect and our guests were very happy. Because the servers had experience with wedding receptions, they were able to advise and assist us with a few things we didn’t know about.”

We’re not one to be able to resist some good tacos, and neither are the locals of El Paso! And while there’s certainly no shortage of caterers that offer classic Mexican fare, one particular favorite among locals is Taquizas Los Pistoleros.

Taquizas Los Pistoleros offers Mexican staples and dishes for just about any event, from a family get-together to a full-blown party. Their offerings already include tortillas, veggies, and even refreshing Agua Fresca.

That said, we noticed they had a fairly limited selection of meats for their dishes. We’d definitely recommend consulting with the staff if they are willing to provide other meat or protein options, just in case.

What customers really pointed out to us was the sheer range of salsas they offered! This range was a highlight for customers, with a variety of flavors including classic guacamole, serrano, habanero, and more.

We also heard pretty good things about the company’s timeliness. Most customers reported that the team arrived early at the event venues to get prepped and set up ahead of schedule, helping keep the event on time.

The restaurant also offers pick-up packages for customers who’d prefer to just order en masse and take the dishes to their venue themselves, saving on prep time and service fees.

Pros

  • Pick-up packages available
  • Wide range of salsas to choose from
  • Punctual and timely services

Cons

  • Limited choice of meats

They did an amazing job for the two hour commitment

“I got a catered package for my daughter’s Sweet 16 party. Great food, service was set up early and they did an amazing job for the two hour commitment. I had two aguas frescas, wish I would have gotten one more.”

– Mr. Frank Torres Jr., Google Review

All the food, sauces, and sides were delicious

“Great food and customer service! We had this caterer cater my sons farewell yesterday and all the food, sauces, and sides were delicious! The server was courteous and very professional.”

What’s the biggest appeal of a buffet? If your answer is about portion sizes and the all-you-can-eat factor, then Las Muñequitas Catering might just be up your alley. This spot is the go-to caterer when you want to really fill up.

Las Muñequitas’ menu was stocked to the brim with familiar Tex-Mex staples, so it’s no wonder locals loved it so much. These included everything from Mexican rice to pulled pork, and we’ve heard their brisket is to die for.

The staff was also refreshingly quick to respond, which we appreciated. They let us know more about their menu offerings, any meal substitutions they were able to accommodate, and even how many heads their dishes could feed.

According to some regulars we chatted with, Las Muñequitas’ portion sizes were great too. They provide large sizes per serving, plus they could offer entrees by the pound and tray.

With that in mind, customers were happy to recommend Las Muñequitas as a reliable spot for larger groups and events. We’d definitely keep them in mind for folks wanting to turn their parties into a real fiesta.

Pros

  • Good portion sizes per serving
  • Reliable for large groups and events
  • Proactive and responsive communication

Cons

  • Limited choice of main courses

Everyone couldn’t stop praising the brisket

“They were exceptionally organized, friendly, and attentive! I hosted an event with over 70 guests, and everyone couldn’t stop praising the brisket, Mexican rice, and potato salad. You won’t regret choosing the brisket!”

– Ms. Amanda Guevara, Google Review

A true treasure of Mexican culture

“This business is a true treasure of Mexican culture. The food is delicious and the decorations are a true representation of Mexican history. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this business.”

Catering can be a way to introduce your guests to new cuisines, but it can be tricky to find a caterer that carries more than one cuisine. Fortunately, The Culinary Studio has been a popular pick for locals for exactly this.

Right off the bat, we were surprised by just how varied the Culinary Studio’s services were. While they had a physical bistro, they also offered a gourmet food truck, pick-up packages, and sit-down catering services.

It was their varied menus that especially caught our eye. The Culinary Studio was home to several cuisines, whether you’re looking for Mexican or Italian. Even more Asian-themed dishes for breakfast, lunch, or dinner are available.

They also offer seasonal bundles and menus that fit various holidays, like Christmas and Thanksgiving. We can see this really coming in handy for holiday parties and gatherings, saving the hassle of preparing a feast yourself!

We also love that their menu can be customized. Customers told us we can easily consult with the team and get a personalized menu if the pre-made offerings aren’t quite our style.

That said, their serving sizes are on the smaller side, both for the food truck and for catering. We’d recommend getting some sample plates from them before booking, just in case.

Pros

  • Very flexible menu customization
  • Seasonal bundles and menus available
  • Wide range of cuisines available for catering

Cons

  • Smaller portions per serving

Definitely worth the money

“I purchased the Thanksgiving bundle for 6-8 people and I’m so glad I did. Definitely worth the money. This Thanksgiving was the most stress free and enjoyable because of Culinary Studio. The food was absolutely amazing!”

– Ms. Carolyn Smith, Google Review

They were very accommodating

“We used the Culinary Studio for an event at our church and they were absolutely amazing from start to finish! I changed the menu and numbers multiple times and they were very accommodating and never seemed irritated. Just always happy to help.”

– Ms. April Tili, Google Review
