We love that setting up an account and scheduling a time slot takes less than 10 minutes on the app. The digital-first approach was helpful for one woman who was able to do everything in Spanish.
Their virtual visit option makes it easy for patients to connect with a doctor even late at night. There are no urgent care issues, just fast answers and an updated prescription sent straight to the pharmacy.
The clinic also doesn’t just hand out the same advice to everyone with hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism. Instead, doctors here adjust medication dosages based on regular check-ins.
They even talk patients through diet and lifestyle changes. A man told us he finally understood his lab results and appreciated the tips for managing his hyperthyroidism.
However, those who are not comfortable with technology may find the clinic’s app-centered process a bit overwhelming. One older patient told us she struggled with using the app.

A man shared with us that from the start of his appointment, Dr.Rovner broke down his biopsy results and treatment options in a way that wasn’t rushed or sugar-coated.
Another patient appreciated how Dr. Rovner used diagrams to show how her thyroid nodules were affecting her hormone levels. She also valued that he explained when surgery would be necessary.
Dr. Rovner’s follow-up process is thorough and attentive. Several clients we talked to shared that the clinic checked in on them twice by phone and even via email after their treatment.
Dr. Rovner also coordinates closely with local labs and oncologists to make sure his patients’ test results don’t fall through the cracks.
However, the phone customer care does get busy. One person we interviewed had to call three times before getting a callback to adjust her medication.

Dr. Ortiz stands out for his methodical, step-by-step approach. When a patient needed a second opinion on his persistent hypothyroidism, Dr. Ortiz started with a full review of previous labs and even spotted an overlooked pituitary issue.
We like that he doesn’t cut corners. He asks about seemingly minor symptoms and double-checks medication interactions, too.
He is also straightforward about expectations and timelines. One woman appreciated that he mapped out exactly when to expect changes in energy or weight, and set up automatic reminders for her follow-up labs.
His office is efficient, and patients rarely wait more than 20 minutes.
But the office atmosphere is more clinical than cozy. One man told us about the waiting room, saying he felt like he was watching paint dry as he sat there prior to his appointment.

Dr. Benito Marranzini made our list for his attentive bedside manner when helping patients with complex thyroid cancers.
We like that he never talks down to his patients. One woman told us she could feel his empathetic care in the way he explained the next steps after her diagnosis.
Another patient valued Dr. Marranzini’s help in understanding why some of his thyroid nodules required biopsy, unlike other, smaller benign nodules that could be safely monitored.
Dr. Marranzini is also methodical about treatment follow-ups. He makes sure his patients have a clear timeline for scans, medication changes, or surgical consults.
A woman told us that after her cancer diagnosis, Dr. Marranzini made sure all her previous health records were transferred ahead of surgery. There were no setbacks when it came time for her to begin treatment.
That said, Dr. Marranzini is quite a busy doctor. It’s not easy to get on his schedule.
One guy told us that his office sometimes double-books slots, which led to a nearly hour-long wait for one of his visits.
