Quality of Patient Care: We evaluated how effectively clinics communicated treatment plans, recovery expectations, and progress updates.

Facilities and Equipment: We reviewed the condition of each clinic’s treatment rooms, rehabilitation spaces, and therapeutic equipment.

Availability and Accessibility: We took note of the clinics’ operating hours, appointment availability, and ease of scheduling. Locations that are easy to access are also preferred.

We liked El Paso Manual Physical Therapy for its flexibility. They offer both online and in-person physiotherapy programs designed to help patients avoid surgery.

Their programs are created by a highly experienced therapist, Dr. David Middaugh. He has advanced training to ensure expert-guided rehabilitation.

One of the things we liked is their unique hybrid recovery model. This involves weekly group coaching calls and optional weekly 1-on-1 coaching sessions.

For patients, they’ll often find convenience with their customer service team. They help with account access and scheduling of appointments.

According to patients, they rarely have trouble navigating services with their help.

As for consultations, they stood out for clear and supportive communication. Patients often highlight that treatment procedures are practical and easy to follow.

If there’s one thing to keep in mind, it’s that their rates can be expensive for some. The online format also requires personal consistency and discipline, which can be difficult to maintain.

Pros

  • Highly specialized hybrid programs
  • Programs created by manual therapy expert
  • Strong community support system
  • Large educational video library
  • Strong track record of success
  • Personalizes therapy sessions
  • Excellent customer service

Great approach to treatment

“I highly recommend taking advantage of the complimentary coaching call after purchasing the hip recovery program!  Raul was wonderful to talk with….he started by  hearing my story and had so many great suggestions to help with my situation.  I am so encouraged that there is hope, and love the approach that he and Dr. David have regarding hip joint recovery without relying on meds or surgery! After this call I am more confident that with the proper work on my part I can get better!”

“Anyone with knee arthritis should check out El Paso Manual Physical Therapy. Their system works! On top of that, Dr. David, and all coaches, especially my coach—Jay, are all super nice, caring, and supportive. They give you hope and guide you to turn that hope into reality.”

El Paso Physical Therapy Services offers hands-on care delivered directly by licensed physical therapists and PT assistants.

Credibility is a major edge here. The clinic has extensive experience in treating complex and serious conditions.

Some of those they cover include neuromuscular disabilities, rotator cuff repairs, and nerve issues.

What we loved about them is their creative and personalized approach to rehabilitation. They combine manual therapy with procedures like electrical stimulation, kinesio taping, and heat therapy.

Communication is an outstanding factor as well. Therapists, according to patients, listen carefully to concerns.

Every treatment is also explained clearly to set realistic expectations. We also appreciate that plans are well monitored and adjusted according to progress.

With multiple convenient locations across El Paso, they’re also an accessible choice for many patients.

The overall experience isn’t perfect, though. One patient reported that supervision felt inconsistent. They also felt overworked during rehab programs.

For any concerns, we recommend communicating with the therapist for immediate adjustments.

Pros

  • Focuses on hands-on treatments
  • Helps with complex injuries and conditions
  • Excellent communication
  • Multiple convenient locations
  • Reliable and supportive front desk staff
  • Personalized treatment plans
  • Plans are adjusted as needed

Cons

  • Minor reports of inconsistent supervision
  • Experience may vary per location

Knowledgeable, creative, and compassionate

“This place has been a godsend. My husband has a serious neuromuscular disability, and Rudy and the other therapists, assistants and techs are the reason he’s still on his feet, helping him keep up his strength and balance. They are skilled and knowledgeable, creative and compassionate. They also manage to be fun to be around, and there’s a sense of community among the patients and staff. If you need physical therapy, this is the place to get it. I’d give it more stars if I could.”

– Monica Krausse, Google Review

Gives the attention you need

“The best place for physical therapy in El Paso! The licensed therapists are hands on with all the patients, unlike most places that dump their patients off to techs and trainees. El Paso Physical Therapy Services gives each patient the individual attention that he needed to rehab in a great location filled with caring people. Lots of energy. Lots of healing. If you want. Great results come here.”

MPTS provides highly specialized manual therapy delivered by fellow-ship trained physical therapists.

The rehabilitation programs are fully customized. Therapists tailor every session to the patient’s specific injury, pain level, and mobility goals.

Speaking of programs, their services are wide-ranging. Among many offerings, they cover post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic joint dysfunction.

Looking at their success rate impressed us. According to patients, they recovered faster than expected after ACL and meniscus tears.

In particular, they restored their ability to walk, run, play sports and return to full activity.

Communication is another solid factor. Therapists always make sure that patients understand their progress, limitations, and exercises.

Outcomes and updates are well laid out realistically. This helps patients feel more informed during the journey.

On the rough side, though, we encountered a poor booking management issue. One patient couldn’t be taken in just by being late for a few minutes.

For those suffering urgent cases, this can be a deal-breaker.

Pros

  • Fellowship-trained therapists
  • Large range of specialized services
  • Personalized treatment plans
  • Relatively faster recovery times
  • Outstanding communication
  • Excellent post-surgical outcomes
  • Great for athletes

Cons

  • Minor issues with poor booking management
  • Lacks flexibility with last-minute changes

Speedy recovery from injury

“Everyone is so nice and they all care for their patients health. Leslie is fantastic. She helped me recover from a pretty serious injury much faster than I thought I would. I also enjoyed working with the friendly staff, JP and Carla especially.  I highly recommend MPTS for anyone that needs physical therapy.  Thank you all so much for everything you did to help me.”

Really knows what they’re doing

“I tore my acl and meniscus last year, and I’m in my 40s. I’ve been a patient at Manual Physical Therapy Specialists for about nine months for my rehab. They have been so great. I’ve worked with Justin. He knows what he’s doing and really has helped me to get back on my feet and be active again. I was impressed with the level of expertise and professionalism. They even bent over backwards to fit me in to their schedule for when it was convenient for me. I highly recommend this office if you have physical therapy needs.”

We also appreciate their exceptional customer service. The staff help with coordinating insurance work, taking away stress and time-consuming work from the patients.

They’re also pretty accommodating. Whenever possible, they can make adjustments for patients with irregular schedules.

We only encountered a few issues with long waiting times during appointments. Fortunately, these are very rare cases that only happened during an extremely busy season.

  • Thorough evaluations
  • Personalized care plans

Extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and attentive

“Locomotion therapy has been a very enjoyable and effective experience. Dr. Rodriquez is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, attentive and runs a very well run business. I truly enjoyed coming to physical therapy, everyone who works there is very friendly and just made it overall an enjoyable experience. They do a great job of gauging your overall athletic ability/age and aren’t afraid to push you if you can handle it. I can’t recommend this place enough!”

– Dominick Haskins, Google Review

Patient and exceptional

“Just finished short term therapy for flare up of osteoarthritis in right knee. Locomotion staff is exceptional. Very patient in describing purpose of every exercise not just the process. Dr Rudy Ortega did a great job. Would highly recommend.”
