The 5 Best Fitness Trainers in El Paso to Keep the Weight Off

best-personal-trainers-el-paso-banner
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Qualifications: We picked trainers with nationally recognized certifications and verified CPR/AED training and specialized credentials like sports medicine backgrounds or nutrition degrees.

Training Approach: We checked whether the trainers used techniques like progressive overload or functional training, and whether they adjust plans as you progress.

Accessibility: We confirmed if these trainers had options for at-home and online training.

Value: We picked trainers who offer free trials or assessments, so you can test the fit before committing.

Finding a personal trainer in El Paso isn’t just about picking a name from the top of a Google search. Trust us on that.

We’ve spent more hours in El Paso gyms, boot camps, and (yes) even living-room Zoom sessions than we care to admit. We can say we know a thing or two about good personal trainers.

So, if you’re just starting your fitness journey or need someone to keep you accountable and away from doing random workouts, we made a list of the best personal trainers in El Paso for you.

How much does personal training in El Paso cost?

Personal training in El Paso costs at least $29 per session. This is just an estimate. The actual price will depend on the personal trainer, their inclusions, and more.

1. Just Play 24/7

Operating Hours: Open 24 Hours

Just Play Fitness’s Play50 class is, hands down, the most energizing group workout we’ve tried. The Play50 session tested every muscle group with compound movements and just enough friendly competition. We’re still sore from those power cleans.

The Play50 workout was high-intensity, but it wasn’t intimidating thanks to the helpful trainer. The trainer walked us through proper form for deadlifts and front squats.

The gym itself has low-key good vibes, is open 24/7, and has plenty of free weights and cardio equipment. We appreciated the private full bathrooms, especially after our sweaty session.

We loved being able to take advantage of their free day pass and get our first Play50 class for free too.

For those who would rather be at home, their online personal trainer app’s classes are easy to follow. Their workout plans are designed to easily fit into the busy workday.

We also have to give points for their meal prep service. Several of their clients told us it definitely helps them resist the drive-thru post-workout.

If there’s a downside, it’s that their personal training is semi-personal in the gym. So, we didn’t have the trainer solely to ourselves and couldn’t ask all our fitness questions.

Pros

  • Free day pass
  • Free first training class
  • Energizing Play50 workout class
  • The gym has good vibes
  • Helpful trainer
  • Free weights
  • Tons of cardio equipment
  • Private full bathrooms
  • Online personal training
  • Meal prep service

Cons

  • Don’t have a trainer solely to yourself

The vibe at the gym is great

“I recently joined and honestly, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. Besides seeing physical results (which are already starting to show), what I appreciate the most is how much my mood and overall energy have improved.

The vibe at the gym is great—friendly people, clean and well-equipped facilities. But what really makes the difference is my personal trainer. From day one, they’ve been super supportive, always pushing me in the right way, correcting my form, and making sure I’m progressing in a healthy and steady way.

Working out stopped feeling like a chore and became a part of my routine that I actually look forward to. Totally recommend it!”

Feel comfortable and motivated

“I’ve been training at Just Play Fitness for quite some time now, but working with Daniel as my personal trainer for the past couple of months has been a game-changer. From the start, Daniel created a welcoming and supportive environment that helped me feel comfortable and motivated. His approach is encouraging, thoughtful, and tailored to my personal goals, which makes every session feel purposeful, and promotes confidence. Highly recommend Daniel if you’re looking for a trainer who truly cares and brings out the best in you.”

Operating Hours: Open 24 Hours

Website

Personal training at Hybrid Fitness comes with round-the-clock gym access, and our inner fitness geek jumped for joy at the sheer variety of training options.

We love the flexibility of having unlimited strength and conditioning classes.

But it’s the one-on-one fitness training and workshops with owner and sole trainer Arnold Rodriguez that really caught our eye. We found his free consultation very helpful for understanding the best way to meet our fitness goals.

His weightlifting and kettlebell training have helped many we interviewed sculpt into the bodies of their dreams.

Many shared that Arnold has a way of making tough workouts feel doable, especially for beginners. He breaks down the steps and explains why proper technique is so important for core training.

Even his online trainings are just as good. We only had basic kettlebells, but we were able to easily follow his exercises.

The only real con? For in-person sessions, he books up fast, so it’s best to get on his calendar early.

Pros

  • Round-the-clock gym access
  • Tons of training options
  • Free consultations
  • Weightlifting
  • Kettlebell training
  • Doable workouts for beginners
  • Online trainings

Cons

  • Books up sessions fast

Thanks to Arnold at Hybrid Fitness

“Hybrid Fitness is an excellent gym!! I have been a member for the past two years with the owner Arnold being my personal trainer. As a physician, I pay attention to several things…a trainers knowledge, attentiveness, the maintenance/equipment of the gym and most importantly how the clients are being treated. I have been happy to say that I have sent many of my patients to this gym with nothing but excellent reviews, not to mention results. Thanks to Arnold at Hybrid Fitness I (along with others) have come to understand that self motivation, clean eating (lifestyle changes) and a consistent exercise regimen is the only way you will produce results. I will continue to send my patients to this gym . Thank you Arnold!! However, I am somewhat perplexed as to why this gym has recently received a bad review as the person who reviewed the owner/gym is not a client of his; as a matter of fact, is a client of a personal trainer who was just recently dismissed from the gym. It is sad that people will use social media as a way to perpetuate a “smear campaign.”

It’s awesome that they have a 24/7 open gym!

Matt Adams is one of the El Paso personal training pros offering a full wellness ecosystem. He does it all, from strength training to infrared sauna therapy and sports medicine.

We love that his approach goes beyond reps and sets. He tailors his fitness techniques around his clients’ injuries or chronic conditions.

A few of his clients told us he helped them do a modified deadlift to ease their back pain. He kindly pointed out their improper form and helped them do a proper rep.

Clients also appreciate his nutrition guidance and helpful supplementation tips. They’re honestly godsend when you’re lost in online fitness rabbit holes.

He focuses on sustainable routines rather than pushing extreme diets or impossible workout regimens, which we think is a lot more healthy and more helpful.

A few we met who have stuck with Matt for a while told us they’ve seen steady, manageable results without the crash-and-burn.

Sure, Matt’s gym isn’t a flashy fitness centre with all the latest equipment, but it’s at least packed with the basics.

Pros

  • Full wellness ecosystem
  • Tailored fitness techniques
  • Kindly corrects improper form
  • Nutrition guidance
  • Helpful supplementation tips
  • Sustainable routines
  • Manageable results

Cons

  • Doesn’t have all the latest equipment

Matt is an extremely knowledgeable

“Matt is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced personal trainer! He challenges and encourages our group to focus on our goals and has given us the tools we need to start our fitness journey- we have been training with Matt for a few weeks and have already seen great results- I highly recommend Matt to anyone looking for a great quality trainer!”

Matt takes great care to not injure his patients

“I absolutely give Matt Adams the highest rating as a personal trainer and care provider.  Prior to meeting him I had trainers but they always pushed me so hard that I would injure myself.  Matt takes great care to not injure his patients so that they can keep striving for higher goals without setbacks.  He’s always been very flexible with scheduling and he’s a very hard worker. He keeps your goals attainable and focused.  On top of everything he has reasonable pricing and he can come to your home for work outs if needed. I have referred him to several friends who have also used him as a trainer and they too have been happy.  Bottom line: highly recommended!!!”

365 Physique’s Coach Julio is one of the only certified fitness trainers in El Paso with a Master’s degree in Nutrition. His 3-step process (assessment, precision training, long-term strategy) is built for anyone who wants results that last, not quick fixes.

One of our researchers actually tried his free workout session. He noted that the workouts were efficient, and the nutrition advice was practical enough that he didn’t have to swear off tacos forever (thankfully).

Clients also shared that Julio mapped out how their posture was affecting their squats. He even used video analysis to show them exactly how to adjust their form.

His focus is on building habits, not just burning calories.

Plus, the 24/7 gym access at Versatile Fitness comes in clutch. Just note that the gym membership isn’t included in his rates.

He offers two main packages, though. The main difference between Gold and Platinum is that Platinum includes nutrition counseling and personalized meal plans. Both plans, though, come with accountability checks via text, phone call, or video chat.

His online personal training is easy too, thanks to his simple exercise instructions.

Pros

  • Has Masters degree in Nutrition
  • 3-step process
  • Free workout session
  • Excellent use of video analysis
  • 24/7 gym access
  • Two training packages
  • Online personal training

Cons

  • Separate gym membership payment

“I can’t say enough good things about Julio! From day one, he’s been incredibly knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely invested in my fitness journey. Every session is tailored to my goals, whether it’s building strength, improving endurance, or just feeling better overall. He strikes the perfect balance between pushing me to challenge myself while keeping everything fun and approachable. Plus, his positivity is contagious! I’ve seen real progress, and I actually look forward to working out now. If you’re looking for a top-notch personal trainer, Julio is the absolute best!”

The gym is in good condition with good equipment.

“I’ve been training with Julio for 4 months now and I’m definitely seeing results, which have also been noticed by those around me. He changes up workouts so I never get bored and he keeps personalized records of my results. He dedicates his time to you and isn’t on his phone or distracted. He has a great personality and is easy to get along with so he creates a comfortable environment. The gym is in good condition with good equipment. Top View Fitness helps everyone from 8-year-old soccer players to military veterans prepping for deployment.

Their focus on form and recovery sets them apart. They even have a licensed massage therapist on staff, so clients don’t have to run around town for cupping or stretching.

In all of their training programs, trainers design workouts that help people build strength, tone their muscles, and improve endurance.

Several women who take their women’s 1-on-1 program said the use of resistance bands and bodyweight has helped them build their core strength.

We also like how in their men’s 1-on-1 training, the focus is on boosting metabolism. The exercises are focused on strength and conditioning.

Parents love their family-friendly vibe because the trainers make the kids’ training sessions feel more like games than workouts, and parents get progress updates via an easy-to-use app.

The downside? While their military-style training is effective, some people admitted that the circuit pacing can feel rushed for those who need extra time to perfect form.

Pros

  • Kid training to military training
  • Focus on form and recovery
  • Licensed massage therapist on staff
  • Build core strength in the women’s program
  • Men’s training boosts metabolism
  • Family-friendly vibe

Cons

  • Circuit pacing can be a bit rushed
