Finding the 5 Best Greek Restaurants in El Paso for an Authentic Feast

best-greek-restaurants-el-paso
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.
  • Food Quality and Authenticity: We closely evaluated how each kitchen treats traditional cooking techniques and sources fresh ingredients. It matters that the herbs, olive oil, and slow-roasted meats deliver genuine Mediterranean flavors.

  • Menu Variety: A great dining spot should offer a solid selection of classic dishes alongside accommodating vegetarian choices. We looked for menus that balance simple street food with complex, slow-cooked entrees.

  • Atmosphere and Service: The overall comfort, interior layout, and hospitality play a major role in making any meal memorable. We favored spaces that create a genuinely welcoming environment for families and couples alike.

  • Pricing and Value: We compared the overall portion sizes directly against the final bill to ensure you get a fair deal. It is important that the quality of the ingredients justifies the menu prices.

If you’re chasing after warm pita bread or perfectly seasoned gyro meat, the local dining scene serves up some wonderful options.

Finding the best Greek restaurant in El Paso can completely transform a casual dinner into an unforgettable, flavor-packed escape. You don’t need to book an expensive flight across the globe just to enjoy these timeless Mediterranean flavors!

Best Greek food we have had in a long while.  Very attentive and helpful staff.  We even had some great music bring played and for a short time, a live show.  Would go back if we didn’t live over 2,000 miles away.  Thanks for a great meal and time.

classy atmosphere

From the first bite to the last, Meduza impressed. The steak was cooked to perfection with a gorgeous sear, and the Mediterranean mezze—hummus, tabbouleh, roasted veggies—was bright and flavorful. Attentive service, thoughtful wine suggestions, and a relaxed, classy atmosphere. A must-try!

As for their offerings, you can explore a rich menu ranging from savory meats to excellent vegetarian shish kebabs. Plus, they serve traditional hot beverages like Lebanese black tea and robust Turkish coffee.

I stopped by last Tuesday for lunch and was deeply impressed by the vibrant, fragrant spices in their mixed grills.

I also appreciate that they provide a dedicated event management team to help with party planning. I’m just iffy about them being closed on Sundays.

Pros

  • Sourced ingredients with unique spice blends
  • Traditional Lebanese tea and Turkish coffee
  • Dedicated party and event management team

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays

Eating healthy on a busy schedule gets a lot easier when you find a place centered around customization. Though it’s a fast, casual eatery, Urban Gyros delivers a modern, wholesome take on Mediterranean food.

Here, they prepare customizable bowls and gyros to order with fresh ingredients and bold spices. You can build your meal exactly how you want to fit your specific dietary goals.

Another draw is their streamlined online platform. This makes mobile pickup or home delivery incredibly smooth.

If you’re planning a business lunch or a family party, they actually rank right up there with the best caterers in El Paso due to their flexible group packages.

They use a quick counter-service model, though, so you’ll miss out on the traditional, full-service sit-down ambiance of a classic restaurant.

Pros

  • Fully customizable gyros and healthy bowls
  • Streamlined online ordering system
  • Comprehensive catering options for large groups
  • Handcrafted desserts to finish your meal

Cons

  • Lacks full-service sit-down dining experience

Customer Reviews:

True Greek experience

We ordered from Door Dash and this is the first experience. This is a true Greek experience as I have eaten Greek food in Florida from the “stars.” I truly say if you want the experience of the Greek Island you must order the “experience!” Great job Urban Gyros! Keep up the great work! Rich and Tina!

Good sized portions

Went with my husband around noon. Good sized portions. Tried their bowl with beef/lamb and the beef gyro with waffle fries.

Tzatziki was good and so was green aioli sauce. Green sauce wasn’t spicy but had a good flavor. Baklava was very good. Not too sweet. Employees were pleasant and place was clean.

5. Kala BajaMed

kala-bajamed

Website: https://kalabajamed.com/

Address: 7470 Cimarron Market Ave Building 5 Suite 100

Contact: (915) 221-4045

Hours:

Brunch: Sunday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Dinner: Tuesday to Saturday: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Exploring creative culinary mashups can lead to an absolute masterpiece when expert chefs run the kitchen.

Kala BajaMed was crafted by three renowned culinary experts, including Michelin-starred chef Carlos Gaytán, who designed the concept to marry the culinary warmth of Baja, Mexico, with the fresh essence of the Mediterranean.

The resulting fusion menu honors the careful balance and authenticity of both rich culinary cultures. It’s interesting that they feature distinct, specialized menus for both their weekend brunch and dinner services.

Plus, the visually engaging atmosphere centers on technique, making it an excellent destination for food lovers.

However, because it sits inside the popular Cimarron Market neighborhood, the area gets heavily congested on weekends. Finding an open parking spot can become a tight squeeze during peak hours, too.

Pros

  • Expert fusion menu by Michelin-starred chef
  • Specialized dinner and weekend brunch menus
  • Visually engaging and upscale design elements
  • Curated signature dining experiences

Cons

  • Weekend parking can be a tight squeeze
