We walked through neighborhoods, asking locals about electricians they trust for the most basic to the most complicated projects. Everyone has a cousin who “knows a guy” here, but we took a research-backed approach to find the town’s best.
After conducting interviews and testing booking processes ourselves, we found out why these electricians are highly recommended by most.
How much does it cost to hire an electrician in El Paso?
The cost of hiring an electrician in El Paso ranges from $50 to $130 per hour. Service call charges typically range from $100 to $200. Depending on the nature of the repair, the project starts at $150 for minor work and $2,000 for complex jobs.

We find Secure Electrical Contractors to be a dependable choice for both commercial and residential projects. With their range of expertise, they can handle various issues, including but not limited to electrical panels, circuit breakers, and generators.
Their best characteristics are definitely their efficiency and speed. Clients often rely on them for emergency electrical work, even on weekends and early mornings.
According to client stories, they arrive on time, giving them plenty of room to diagnose the issue. Once determined, they’re able to complete minor issues within hours – ideal for businesses that can’t afford downtime.
Their rates are just within the city’s median, so we’re confident in the value for money they offer. Plus, we find their estimates transparent and honest, eliminating any concerns for hidden fees.
Unfortunately, we did encounter a report regarding overcharging issues that stemmed from miscommunication. This signals a rare inconsistency in quoting, but we still recommend requesting a full breakdown of the bill.
The overall customer service is pleasant, thanks to their courteous and friendly technicians who clearly explain the process and answer client questions.

Fixed things within an hour
“We had a couple of circuit breakers go bad so we went online and found Secure Contractors. We called on Saturday night and they were here first thing the next morning. Moises looked at the problem, went to Lowe’s for parts, then returned and had things fixed within an hour. Alpine Electric is a great choice for those who prioritize honest pricing above all else. We appreciate their fair and reasonable fees. They’re not the cheapest, but the value for money is there with the level of expertise they offer.
Their speed and efficiency are what make them worth the investment. Their crews arrive early, and coupled with skills and on-hand equipment, are able to do major upgrades within the day.
Even communication with them is solid. During our test period, they’re the quickest to reply. On top of that, they explain the process clearly, making sure to clarify client needs before starting with the job.
Their range of services is great. They cover residential, commercial, and industrial clients. We also liked that they can handle pretty much everything from basic to complex work.
In the past, they’ve worked on panel upgrades, wiring, and new construction. They even have experience handling underground electrical work.
We did encounter reports of poor work, though, like incomplete jobs or incorrectly implemented systems. The sad part for us, however, is that warranty coverage was sometimes denied. This is definitely a deal breaker in major cases.

Another thing worth noting, as other companies are limited in this area, is that they offer modern electrical needs. Some of the many offerings include EV charger installations, LED lighting conversions, and energy audits.
For emergencies like power loss and safety issues, we’re happy to note that their response time is quick. They can accept both same-day and next-day jobs and deal with the issues efficiently.
Pricing is clear and reasonable – not the cheapest per se, but definitely has great value for money when weighed against their workmanship.
Unfortunately, we did hear complaints about billing adjustments. While changes aren’t often drastic, we still recommend clarifying the fees before any work starts.
The biggest issue we encountered, however, has to do with warranty handling. Many clients found it unsatisfactory, which definitely affected the experience.
