For many people, the toughest part of starting counseling isn’t the session itself – it’s deciding who to trust with your situation.
You might be experiencing panic attacks, grief after losing someone you love, or persistent anxiety. And now that you’re ready to get support, choosing the wrong counselor can feel like a risk.
To help you, we decided to compare various counseling services in El Paso. We dug through forums, verified credentials, and talked to other locals to find the ones that are genuinely helpful.
If you’re ready to ask for help, here are the professionals who have helped many find their peace again.
How much does a counseling service cost in El Paso?
Counseling in El Paso may cost from $80 to $200, depending on the practitioner and their experience. The type of service, whether it’s individual or family therapy, also affects the price.
1. 2 Love1

Address: 4620 Montana Ave
Contact Details: +19152220472
Operating Hours: Monday – Sunday: Open 24 Hours
We see 2 Love1 as a dependable option for El Paso locals dealing with emotional and relationship challenges.
They provide marriage counseling, couple therapy, and individual sessions. To us, that flexibility makes them a solid go-to choice regardless of age and situation in life.
One thing that really stood out is their support for children. A mother we talked to even thanked the team for helping her 8-year-old kid cope with a particular mental health concern.
Not all counselling services in El Paso cater to younger clients, so it’s reassuring that 2 Love1 can provide the help parents and children need
We also appreciate that they offer both individual and group therapy sessions. This gives clients the flexibility to choose the format that best fits their comfort level and needs.
Another win in our books is their case manager system. We like the idea that someone takes the time to match each client with the right provider, as it increases the chances of counselling being effective.
Our only worry is that they handle so many classes and services, which could potentially affect their availability and service quality.
Very helpful therapy
Our experience in therapy has been very helpful, it has opened our eyes to see ourselves in a very delicate and caring way. I am grateful for my husbands decision to take therapy. 100% recommend this team. Ms Angela is great at what she does.”

Living Proof Counseling & Wellness is the type of clinic with a compassionate space where you can breathe, pause, and talk things through.
Their clinic is beautifully designed, with a warm and calming ambience that helps you feel comfortable. In fact, many clients commend how the space promotes focus during sessions.
Another thing we like about Living Proof Counseling & Wellness is that they have psychotherapy and psychiatric medication. They have this holistic approach that targets mental health from different angles.
It’s also a plus for us that they have specialized support for stress, like their mindfulness stress reduction sessions. It’s a great way to help clients manage anxiety and build emotional resilience.
Their counselors? They’re highly approachable – the type of mental health professionals you’ll not feel intimidated with, making it easier for you to open up and work with them.
What we find challenging is that they have a smaller team compared to other clinics, which could affect their availability. Also, they have limited weekend support.
Comfortable and supportive environment
“I’ve been seeing Priscilla for nearly two years, and she has helped me in so many ways. She’s taught me practical tools to cope and manage stress, and I always feel comfortable and supported during our sessions. She’s easy to talk to, communicates clearly, and you can truly tell that she cares about her clients. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate and effective therapist.”
– Ms. Ashley Ruiz, Google Review
Life-changing experience
“Losing my mother was the most painful experience I’ve ever gone through, and I wasn’t sure how I would begin to cope. Working with Priscilla has truly been life-changing. From our first session, she created a safe, compassionate, and supportive space where I felt heard and understood without judgment.
I highly recommend Priscilla to anyone facing loss or emotional hardship. Her help is truly a gift during life’s hardest moments.”

3. Escape – Emotional Support Counseling and Professional Empowerment, PLLC

Address: 6070 Gtwy Blvd E, El Paso, TX 79905, United States
Contact Details: +19154550985
Operating Hours: Monday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
We think that Escape is another solid local choice due to their wide range of services, ranging from burnout, couples counseling, and adolescent support, to name a few.
They’re also one of the most inclusive clinics we found, offering LGBTQIA+ support. This is perfect for those looking to create a nonjudgmental space where every client feels seen and respected.
We’re also pretty satisfied with the treatment approaches they have. They don’t just stick to one method; instead, they use a variety of evidence-based techniques. Think of Gestalt therapy, existential, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
The fact that they also accept insurance coverage from Aetna, Cigna, and BlueCross and BlueShield is also a good thing. Although very limited, it still helps make their services more accessible to clients in managing their therapy costs.
We also love their free 15-minute consultation. It’s a great way for new clients to ask questions and get a feel for the counselor before they commit to full sessions.
Just one potential limitation is that they’re not available on weekends – not so good news for busy people whose preferred sessions are on Saturday and Sunday.
Kind and compassionate
“Sylvia is a kind, compassionate and warm individual. I always feel better about myself and the situations I’ve faced after our conversations. Sylvia is never judgmental and always looks for positive ways to approach a person, situation or even a mindset. This is what makes her a powerful and effective therapist.”
-Ms. Norma Carnera, Google Review
Exceptional therapist
“Sylvia is an exceptional therapist and a compassionate professional. Their expertise, warmth, and genuine care create a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore and grow. I trust their approach and highly recommend them to anyone seeking guidance and support on their mental health journey.”

4. Mind Forward Health Center

Address: 2150 Trawood Dr Ste B161
Contact Details: +19158321702
Operating Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Mind Forward Health Center stood out to us because of its bilingual team. This makes it easier for both English-and Spanish-speaking clients to communicate comfortably and feel understood.
Since they’re a bilingual team, they also offer bilingual psychological evaluations for asylum cases, which is not typically offered by many clinics. This provides professional and culturally sensitive assessments for those with legal and immigration processes.
On top of their basic therapies, they also have ketamine-assisted therapy, helpful for clients dealing with treatment-resistant depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other conditions that aren’t that responsive to traditional approaches.
Their counsellors are also well-regarded in terms of the right balance between professionalism and genuine warmth. Clients mentioned that their approach is thoughtful and personalised to each person’s needs.
We also gave this clinic another point for offering telehealth sessions, making their service convenient and accessible to those who don’t feel like going out.
They also accept insurance. It’s just that some clients shared that getting an appointment with insurance coverage is a bit challenging. Sometimes, their staff stops responding when you’re interested in booking their service using your insurance.
Comfortable space
“I’m really glad I found this mental health center. My therapist, Hadya, has been wonderful. She’s insightful and creates a comfortable space. The care here is affordable, which made it possible for me to get the help I needed. I’d definitely recommend this practice to anyone looking for quality mental health support.”
– Mr. Eric Corona, Google Review
Compassionate and patience
“I started seeing Dr. Ortiz after struggling with postpartum depression, and it’s made a huge difference. She is compassionate, patient, and really listens. I felt understood from the very first session, and her guidance has helped me navigate some of the hardest moments of new motherhood. The whole staff at Mind Forward is professional and supportive, and the environment feels safe and welcoming. I’ve noticed real improvement in my mood and confidence, and I finally feel like myself again. I’m so grateful for Dr. Ortiz and the care I received here.”

5. WellMind, PLLC

Address: 11163 La Quinta Pl B-100, El Paso

Operating Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Wellmind, PLLC is another great place to seek support because it has a hands-on owner, who is a psychologist and a trauma specialist.
Having such credentials and background gives us another layer of reassurance, knowing that their care is guided by clinical experience and a strong understanding of trauma-informed therapy.
Another great thing about Wellmind is that they offer neurofeedback, which is a non-invasive therapy option designed to improve emotional regulation and overall brain health.
In fact, many clients are happy with their neurofeedback service, sharing that it’s been a game-changer. They also said that this approach is impressive and that it supported them in ways they didn’t expect.
There aren’t many clinics using such an approach, and this makes Wellmind’s neurofeedback service a unique and valuable option.
Their therapists are also the type of people you want to keep connected with. They’re positive and bring the right energy while also being empathetic to their clients.
Another thing we like about this clinic is its virtual therapy, letting you begin a session from the comfort of your home.
The only not-so-good news? Some clients aren’t happy with their cards being charged even if they canceled the appointment.
